India's 40th Antarctica expedition starts TODAY

India's 40th scientific expedition to Antarctica will leave on a ship from Goa today, January 5 with only 43 members which is less than the conventional strength due to COVID-19. 
The vessel will sail from Goa-MPT to Cape Town from where it will reach Antarctica in about 18 days. 
Two helicopter will be added to the expedition at Cape Town.
Members went through 14-day quarantine.
Indian Oil is providing fuel for the expedition
